San Diego International Sister Cities Association mission as the umbrella organization is to enhance the visibility, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the City of San Diego’s Sister City & Friendship City Societies. Our mission is to guide the development of proposed Sister City relationships, thereby strengthening their missions in the areas of cultural, educational, economic, and humanitarian relationships. Our overarching aim is to promote peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation – one individual and one community at a time.
