Parisa Ijadi-Maghsoodi

Mrs. Ijadi-Maghsoodi serves as the Assistant Director of Public Service at University of San Diego Law, where she directs USD Law’s Pro Bono Program. A member of the National Lawyers Guild, Parisa is a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and works tirelessly to raise awareness on matter of and provide assistance to San Diego’s impoverished communities.

During the years 2014 to 2017, she served as San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program’s Pro Bono Manager and Supervising Attorney, supervising attorneys on cases involving tenants’ rights, public benefits, health law, disability discrimination, and affordable housing. Prior, Parisa served as a Staff Attorney and then a Managing Attorney for Legal Services of Northern California in Sacramento, where she practiced poverty law, representing low-income families in eviction and public benefits cases.

Parisa provides pro bono representation in civil rights and housing justice cases, and was awarded the Wiley W. Manuel Award and Distinguished Service Award in 2018 for her pro bono work. As a member of the UNA-USA San Diego, Mrs Ijadi-Maghsoodi attended the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women (CSW64) in March of 2019 as part of the San Diego Chapter’s twenty-people strong delegation.
